Cotesia africanus is an indigenous parasitoid of Spodoptera litura in tobacco ecosystem. The parasitoid has similar behavior as that of Cotesia marginiventris(Cresson).

Production procedure

Cotesia africanus is successfully multiplied on Spodoptera litura. The parasitoid completes its larval, cocoon and adult stages in 8-10, 4-6 and 12-18 days, respectively. All other parameters are same as that of Cotesia marginiventris (Cresson).
